The meeting was called to order at 2:10pm by President Earl Baugh. There were 43 people in attendance.
Earl discussed the speakers that are slated for the upcoming Vintage Computer Festival South East to be held July 31st through August 2nd as part of the Southern Fried Gaming Expo. He also discussed the ongoing kerfuffle with a SFGE vendor that wants to attend VCFSE, but was told no by SFGE management.
Load-in will start at Noon on Thursday the 30th. The load-in area will be supervised by Nate, and his staff, who is a volunteer for the SFGE. Thursday and Friday evenings are both expected to be very busy and traffic going in will be significant.
For those doing consignment, please have the forms filled out before bringing the items to the show. The forms are located at the links on the Vintage Computer Federation website at https://vcfed.org/vcf-se-13-0-consignment/
There were two new attendees, including Marty and Antonio.
Projects discussed were by:
Earl – Two Commodore 64 aftermarket keyboard kits.
Kyle – Teased a NeXT cube “complete” project.
Rich – A Fuji-net variant prototype for the Coco1, 2 or 3 with 64k of memory, that uses the cartridge port.
Logg – He’s working on a quiz to be administered at the VCFSE concerning early computers.
The membership was reminded that the language on Discord is getting a bit too salty and to refrain from needless foul language. The attendees were informed that any leftover items on the free table are to be removed by the people that brought them.
The meeting was concluded at 3:25pm and 6 members adjourned to Sonny’s BBQ for further discussions.
